XLR HotSwapper

The XLR HotSwapper enables uninterrupted, automatic switching between two separate power sources during operation. Together with a rechargeable battery and a fixed-voltage power supply, a UPS can be realised, eg. for a video combo or a DIT / data management system.
The source with the higher voltage has priority and after the fully charged battery (usually) has a higher voltage than the mains unit, the unit automatically switches to the mains unit as soon as the battery charge level and thus the voltage drops far enough.

The source with the higher voltage has priority and after the fully charged battery has a higher voltage than the power supply unit. As soon as the charge level of the battery and thus the voltage drops far enough, the unit automatically switches to the power supply unit.

If the difference between the two sources is within 100mV, both sources are equally loaded (load sharing), thus summing up the capacity (runtime) or the maximum current load of the two sources.

The voltage range of the XLR HotSwapper is 9-34V, which means that the unit can be used with B-mount or 24V batteries without the danger of overvoltage. The maximum current load is 10A per channel.
